The upcoming Xbox Exclusive, Redfall, is confirmed to be launching at 30fps with a performance mode coming at a later date and this news took the internet by storm. We dive in to this unfortunate reality for one of my most anticipated games this year as well as some of the drama around it online. Additionally, we react to the Final Fantasy 16 State of Play and the newly revealed EA Original Immortals of Aveum.
Rumor has it that Playstation is making a new handheld gaming device and, while it may not be the Vita 2, it may have some promise if its real. So this week we’re diving into these rumors and sharing our thoughts on who this device could be for. Additionally we review the new Super Mario Bros. One of gaming’s biggest events, E3, has officially been cancelled (again) this year after several additional publishers dropped out. As everyone seems to be doing their own thing it hasn’t really been the same since the pandemic and, suffice it say, I don’t think we need it anymore. We all know it’s expensive to make a “AAA” game but some recent new came out about a couple of games and their massive development budgets contrasting their poor sales. EA and Respawn have reportedly cancelled an upcoming single player game in the Titanfall/Apex Legends universe codenames “Titanfall Legends”. While not directly Titanfall 3, this is as close as we seemingly would have gotten to another Titanfall game so it’s certainly a shame it’ll never see the light of day. We dive into this story as well as the online requirement for Xbox’s Redfall, the delay for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Gears 6 and the rumor that Playstation has lowered their PSVR2 forecasts.
